Oatmeal..BLAH

Can someone please tell me how to make oatmeal? Mine is either like water or glue and I have to gag it down every morning. Jen told me to buy the vanilla flavored splenda, but I have yet to find it.

HELP!!!!

The ONLY way I can eat it, is to get the (Quaker) Steelcut Oatmeal and I just make it the long slow way takes about 15- 20 minutes and I just follow the directions on the package. I make 4 servings at a time, so I only have to make it every 5th day. The Steelcut has got the only texture I can eat. I sometimes, if I'm having a rough time with it will put in a very little bit of unsweetened applesauce - which Tony knows about, but he also knows that I'm not competing. I'm excited to look for that cinnamon flaxseed oil next time I go to buy more - sounds good and I buy that brand of plain so I'm hoping they have it.

Maybe my tasts buds are dying, or im so used to eating bland, but I just use 1/2 cup quaker instant oats, 1 cup water, 1 tsp flax oil then when its done, i add a 1/2 tsp of splenda brown sugar and a few sprinkles of cinammon. I love it.

Now the splenda brown sugar sounds YUMMY.. I wonder if Tony would approve.

I always make Steel Cut oatmeal which takes about 25 min on a stove top. I then keep in in the fridge and portion it out every day.

It's VERY think and yummy.

I put brown sugar splenda and my eggwhites in mine. Don't let me know if Tony doesn't approve:) I'm going to just pretend I can use it!!

Tracy, I don't know if you'd mind ordering from the internet for the Splenda but netrition.com has it. They have all the flavors!

Brown sugar splenda? What? Really Where?

I just microwave mine. I used to gag but I am used to it and actually don't mind it. Or you can put blueberries in it or bananas or strawberries, kinda covers the taste.

I microwave mine, add splenda, a dash of sugar free syrup (haven't asked T about that, either) and I use Parkay spray butter...the spray butter is the key for me...

I'm on the Eileen route, except I cook it for 3 minutes and 30 seconds on MEDIUM. Just enough water to cover it. After it's done, I add 1 packet of regular splenda and then stir.

Can I ask where you found that really cook backpack cooler?
