Walking down that Narrow road...

Yep, that is me. I am trying to hard to keep my life on the narrow road. Spiritually I have been so dry and I don't feel alive like I know I should be feeling. So I am keeping my focus on Him. I love driving to work worshiping Him in the morning. Praying to help me walk in the spirit and not the flesh. Praying prayers of healing for family, friends and even people I don't know. (Californai residents) We must remember how powerful prayer is. I don't think God wants us to be all fancy, just pray.

I love this ...

"Love is kind" (I Corinthians 13:4)

One translation of this simple verse says that, "Love looks for a way to be constructive." In other words, love looks for ways to improve someone else's life. Love brings out the best in other people. Don't just get up in the morning thinking about yourself or how you can make your own life better. Think about how you can make someone else's life better. Ask yourself, "Who can I encourage today?" "Who can I build up?" You have something to offer those around you that no one else can give. Someone in your life needs your encouragement. Someone in your life needs to know that you believe in them. I believe God will hold us responsible for the people He's put in our lives. He's counting on us to bring out the best in our family and friends. Are you improving the lives of those around you? Are you giving them confidence? Ask the Lord to give you creative ways to encourage those around you. As you sow seeds of encouragement and bring out the best in others, God will send people along your path that will build you up so that you can move forward into the blessing He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father God, thank You for loving me. Thank You for believing in me and always building me up. I ask that You show me creative ways to encourage and build up the people around me. Help me be an example Your love today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Thank you Elizabeth...

I really needed to hear this today.

God has equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your destiny through His Word! The Scripture tells us that as believers in Jesus Christ, we are anointed. The word "anointing" is the power of God which gives you courage, strength, and ability. That means you are well able to do what He has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity, and talent to be successful. You can overcome any obstacle! You've been armed with strength for every battle! The forces that are with you are greater than the forces that are against you! Not only has God equipped you, but He is also working on your behalf. He has already lined up the right people to come across your path. He's already lined up the right breaks. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. You were created to excel! You have seeds of greatness on the inside of you. You may not have seen it in the past, but if you'll stay in faith, it's just a matter of time. It's on its way. Don't settle where you are. Don't have a weak, defeated mentality. Have the attitude, "I am anointed. I can accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I am equipped and empowered by the Creator of the universe! I am able to live the abundant life God has in store!"

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping me. Thank You for empowering me. Help me stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today. Help me understand Your anointing so that I can do all you've called me to do. I bless You today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

The Four Agreements summed up..

Here is a shorter version to the four agreements. #2 is one I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY need to work on.

The Four Agreements can be summed up as follows:

(1) Be Impeccable With Your Word. The broad scope of this concept is to avoid sin against yourself by what you think. Sinning against the self takes many forms: such as, putting yourself down, gossiping, or putting anybody else down because you don't agree with what they think. Actions and words need to be consistent as part of being impeccable with yourself. The other side of the coin is the smoky mirror concept. Ruiz makes the point that our perceptions of others are merely reflections of ourselves. Therefore, to put another down or project negative words or energy towards another person, is to lash out at the other person because of our own insecurities.

(2) Don't Take Anything Personally. There is an awful lot of negative energy out there and some of it is directed at us by other people. If you take it personally and take on the poison of another's words, it becomes a very negative agreement you have with yourself. What anybody thinks about you, or says about you, is really about them. Not taking it personally allows you to be in relationship with anyone and not get trapped in their stuff. This agreement can also pertain to things that we take personally that cause us to go into upset.

(3) Don't Make Assumptions. What we think we understand about what someone says, how someone looks at us, what someone means by what they do, etc, may often not reflect reality at all, and more often than not lead us to think badly of ourselves or of others, and reinforce not being impeccable with our word.

(4) Always Do Your Best. Your "best" is a variable thing from moment to moment. "When you do your best, you don't give the Judge the opportunity to find you guilty or to blame you.” You can always say, “I did my best." There are no regrets. The other key to doing your best revolves about being in action. "Action is about living fully. Inaction is the way that we deny life. Inaction is sitting in front of the television every day for years because you are afraid to be alive and to take the risk of expressing what you are. Expressing what you are is taking action. You can have many great ideas in your head, but what makes the difference is the action. Without action upon an idea, there will be no manifestation, no results, and no reward."

My good friend Denise gave me this wonderful book called the Four Agreements. WOW..it is INCREDIBLE!

The first agreement is the most important and also the most difficult to honor:

BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD

It sounds very simple, but it is very, very powerful.

Why your word? Your word is the power that you have to create. Your word is the gift that comes directly from God. Through your intent, regardless of what language you speak. What you dream, what you feel, and what you really are will all be manifested through the word.

The word is a force; it is the power you have to communicate; to think, and thereby to create the events in your life. The word is the most powerful tool you have, but like a sword with two edges, your word can create the most beautiful dream, or your word can detroy everything around you. One edge of the sword is the misuse of the word, which creates a living heck. The other edge is the impeccablility of the word which will only create beauty, love and heaven on earth.

The human mind is like a fertile ground where seeds are continually being planted. The seeds are opinions, ideas, and concepts. The word is pure magic; we plant a seed, a thought, and it grows. Every human is a magician, and we thoughtlessly cast spells on each other all the time with our opinions. Someone gives an opinion and says "Look, that child is ugly." The child listens, believes she is ugly, and grows up with this idea. It doesn't matter how beautiful she is; as long as she has that agreement, she will believe that she is ugly. That is the spell she is under.

These types of spells are difficult to break. Whenever we hear an opinion and believe it, we make an agreement, and it becomes part of our belief system. The only thing that can break a spell is to make a new agreement based on the truth. The truth is the most important part of being impeccable with our word. Only the truth has the power to break the spell and set us free.

Now let us see what the word impeccability means. Impreccability means "without sin." Religions talk about sin and sinners, but let's understand what it really means to sin. A sin is anything you do which goes against yourself. You go against yourself when you judge or blame or reject yourself. Self-rejection is one of the biggest sins you can commit. Being impeccable is exactly the opposite. You take responsibility for your actions, but you do not judge, blame, or reject yourself.

Being impeccable with your word means using your energy in the direction of truth and love for yourself. If I see you in the street and I call you stupid, it appears that I'm using the word against you. But really I'm using my word against myself, and your hating me is not good for me. Therefore, if I get angry and with my word send that emotional poison to you, I'm using the word against myself.

If I love myself, I will express that love in my interactions with you, and then i am being impeccable with the word, because that action will produce a like reaction. If I love you, then you will love me. If I insult you, you will insult me. If I'm selfish with you, you will be selfish with me. If I use the word to put a spell on you, you are going to put a spell on me.

You can measure the impeccablility of your word by your level of self-love. How much you love yourself and how you feel about yourself is directly proportionate to the quality and integrity of your word. When you speak with integrity, and say exactly what you mean, you are impeccable with your word; you feel good; you feel happy and at peace.

Being impeccable with your word also means to refrain from spreading gossip. Gossip can be compared to a computer virus. A virus is a piece of computer language written with a harmful intent. This code is inserted into the program of your computer without your awareness. After this code has been intorduced, your computer doesn't work right anymore. In the same way, one little piece of misinformation can break down communication between people, causing every person it touches to become infected and contagious to others.

If you make an agreement with yourself to be impeccable with your word, just with that intention, the truth will manifest through you and clean all the emotional poison within you. When you follow this agreement, you begin to see all the changes that can happen in your life-first in the way you deal with yourself, and later in the way you deal with other people, especially those you love the most.

Impeccability of the word can lead you to personal freedom, to huge success and abundance; it can take away all fear and transform it into joy and love. You can attain the kingdom of heaven from the one agreement; Be Impeccable with your word.
